Rifts®: Megaversal Highway™
“Lighten up Gobi, she thought it over but couldn’t see any immediate problems with it. Chalk it up to her inner slut emerging, we both know she’s never been able control that little bitch… I was probably doing you a favor.”
Eli is a vegan Lemurian who considers himself something of a “revolutionary” but is in actuality rather mediocre by most accounts. This young Lemurian believes he is entitled to special treatment despite never having accomplished much and being considered something of a disappointment by his parents. Eli never really applied himself during his studies and spent much of his childhood exploring remote islands and playing hookey.
During his teenage years Eli found he got a lot of attention as a “rebel” and established his identity by fighting against the commonly accepted Lemurian norms. This anarchistic attitude made him rather popular with the ladies but he lacked the depth of character and self control to maintain a healthy long-term relationship, frequently cheating on his spouse. It was also during this time that Eli noticed Gobi’s success and grew to deeply resent and envy him, something that was only made worse by just how much Eli’s parents admired the young up-and-coming Lemurian. Thereafter it was not long before he learned that as great as his childhood friend was, the girls that he dated always seemed easy enough to persuade or trick into cheating. This made Eli feel better about himself, especially when Gobi forgave him, again, and again, and again… crediting their infidelity to a weakness of the female gender.
For the most part Eli is unaware of the Zenith Day Project and his role in it, as his parents are hoping that he will grow out of his rebellious streak. However, they are the first to admit that although he has been something of a burden to them, the friends and allies he has made among the more youthful and spirited in Lemurian community could be a valuable asset to the Overseers and their goals in the future. For although Eli is shunned by most modern Lemurians, self-important fringers empathize with him and often share his picketed beliefs about animal rights and the long-standing social implications of concealing the existence of Lemuria from the surface dwellers.
Alignment: Anarchist (Selfish) but can become very petty and vindictive at times when he feels insecure in himself. During these times he should be treated as Miscreant (Evil).
Motivation: Sleep with Gobi’s girlfriends.
Disposition: A man of average quality but with delusions of grandeur. Unwilling to spend his efforts bettering himself to truly become as grand as he hopes, he instead spends his energy in an attempt to bring everyone else down.

600 mph. Regardless of speed, the character can stop on a dime, make sharp turns, and neither he, the clothing he wears nor items he carries suffer from the stress of high speeds or friction.
+ 3 attacks/actions per melee round, + 2 on initiative, + 1 to strike, + 2 to parry, + 2 to pull punch, and + 6 to automatic dodge (the act of dodging does not use up a melee attack/action).
Can leap 20 feet (6.1 m) high and 30 feet (9.1 m) across from a standing position, and add 40 feet (12.2 m) to height and 60 feet (18.3 m) to length for every 100 mph (160 km) of speed running – that would be 100 feet (30.5 m) high and 150 feet (45.7 m) at a speed of 200 mph (320 km) and 260 feet (79 m) high and 390 feet (119 m) lengthwise at a speed of 600 mph (960 km).
The character can run at double his maximum speed for up to one minute per P.E. attribute point. During a Speed Burst, the character must focus on running and reaching his destination or target, which reduces his number of attacks to two until he slows down to his normal range of speed, but is +4 to automatic dodge during a Speed Burst run.
