Wait!
What’s this?!
A new contender appears!
Previously. . .
April 24, 110 P.A.
Individually, the group (Gobi, Robert and Rachel) set out all with a common goal but unique motivations. Their desires all converging on a recently excavated sword from Lemurian waters, a sword now in the possession of the Customer Service Director of Northern Gun: J. J. Levenson.
After a chance encounter in the resort where Mr. Levenson was busy satiating his near limitless vices, Gobi and Rachel unite their goals and together research Jorel and his company in an effort to learn enough to gain the upper-hand in the negotiations which due to the influence of Robert, would never take place.
Robert with his own goals and motivations, infiltrated Jorel’s suite, posing as a prostitute among Jorel’s plethora of Slurmph concubines. Although he forcibly experienced a sexual encounter he would rather not be mentioned, Robert did successfully kidnap the monstrous director and flee the scene, however not before revealing his presence to his childhood friend Gobi.
While Rachel pursued Robert and the kidnapped Jorel, Gobi convinced the resort staff to cover up the ordeal and place their faith in him to deal with the two missing guests. A newly insane Robert however had different ideals and after a second rape scene, this time initiated by Robert himself, the customer service director lay dead, penetrated with a supernatural force no human could ever survive.
The three party members once again converged, revealing Jorel’s death to the rest of the party. His revenge still not satiated, Robert abandoned the others, stubbornly leaving on his submarine with the carcass in his possession. The ability to negotiate with the former C.S.D. now removed, Gobi and Rachel returned to the resort to track the location of Jorel’s storage and the desired artifact.
In search of Sharks to aid in his revenge, Robert found his temporary allies circling Jorel’s former bodyguards with intent to consume. Robert lured the sharks away with the C.S.D.‘s corpse and rescued the innocent bodyguards. After the sharks had their fill devouring Jorel’s remains he launched a mega-damage torpedo at the feast, forever removing the stain of the deranged C.S.D. from existence. The grateful bodyguards told Robert of Jorel’s safe, located in an encampment six miles inland. Rachel and Gobi’s research directed them to the same destination, the party once again reuniting on the shore.
Robert’s revenge now complete and his new-found insanity subsided, Gobi and Rachel found him in a far more agreeable mood. Before the three could co-ordinate, they were attacked by a most terrifying Thronhead Demon. Both Gobi and Robert immediately realized that the greater Demon was immensely powerful and death was a very real possibility. After a short encounter, the three successfully fled the beast, with Robert instructing the others to converge at his Sub back in Tritonia. Gobi however was cut off from the shore by the beast and fled inland, headed to their original destination and Rachel had no means to travel off the shore so she too headed inland. Seemingly a master of all technology, Rachel successfully found Robert’s radio frequency and instructed him on the change of plans.
After a relentless run, Gobi and Rachel found the heavily fortified encampment, first sowing the seeds of trust within the stationed guards and then finding somewhere to rest for the night. Before the night’s end, Robert caught up and joined the party in their slumber.

But Skype conspired to ruin the session. :-)
I Would like to offer healing to the Nautilaus as a sign of appreciation and good will. I would also like to swear that until the identity of the sword is confirmed one way or the other, i don’t really mind who “wields” it, I simply won’t let it’s bearer out of my sight.
Its probably going to come off as quite an insult but Gobi won’t let you anywhere near Nautilus to heal it. I’d like to but he had reason to mistrust Rachel (her willingness to betray her former employer in favour of him) but he suppressed those thoughts and offered her his trust anyway. Then she burned that trust. He isn’t going to let you touch Nautilus because you don’t have his trust and after recent experiences, is no longer willing to hand it out carelessly.
About the game, I’m going to have to give it two stars.
In contrast to last week which I think was the best GMing talent I have experienced, this was among the worst. Two of the greatest taboos a GM can make occurred in this game: Firstly was the mutually exclusive and debatably antagonistic goals of the newcomers to the group. That isn’t something that should have been allowed in the game (It just causes dissention within the players and a lot of negativity at the table and possibly some seriously negative player interactions or PVP). Secondly, I think losing one’s free will without a save or any defense possibilities is a big no no. If a player is going to be rendered helpless, it should at least occur at the fate of the dice, not a GM’s prerogative.
I went with two stars instead of one because of the benefit of the doubt. I am uncertain enough if it would have been more enjoyable as an impartial observer that I am willing to concede that the game may have been quite enjoyable from an external point of view.
3 stars
didnt get much done cause everyone went their own sepearte ways without tellign anyone and basically left my character and troys with no idea what was going on.
3 stars, but for the fact that alot started to happen which left Robert and Tyson out of what was happening. I enjoyed it despite Gobi’s attempts at hostility, honestly though if Gobi wasn’t so much of a slimy politician Claire might of gotten along with him but at every chance he got he tried to screw over the two True Atlanteans even when temporarily allied with them. The No save was pretty much because you went right in and ahead and touched the cause of the magic in the room, Okay I ask you a question if someone blindly rushes into a room through a door and activates a trap that they don’t know is there do you think they would be able to dodge out of the way effectively? no they wouldn’t, Gobi went rushing and and paid the penalty for it. It is pretty much treat other people how you expect to be treated, Claire is and was cautious of people who she doesn’t know and until people show they can be trusted she will be cautious.
4 Stars for me.
I enjoyed the session and while there was some bad things it was still very good. With the accusations of excessive antagonism that have been laid I wish to air my thoughts on the topic.
There wasn’t just antagonism from the newcomers, it was global between every PC, and no one was without it (just part of a new group with the same exclusive objective will always bring caution and antagonism).
And in regards to Rachel betraying Gobi; he showed his true evil colours when he told Rachel that she was his ‘property’ and she has evidence of what type of diabolic monster he is beneath his facade; not that Gobi knows that she has evidence.
