Bannet Overton was born and raised in Chi-Town. His father was a baker and his home life was relatively normal until shortly after his twelfth birthday when the Coalition discovered that Bannet’s strange dreams proved to be somewhat prophetic. However, Psi-Net screening determined he lacked the will and mental discipline to properly harness his psychic potential, at least to a satisfactory degree. Regardless, appreciative of the attention during his formative years, 18-year old Bannet enrolled in the Coalition military and began training as a Communications Officer, hoping that his untapped gift would give him an edge over his peers that might allow him to standout. Maturing through boot camp alongside a fellow cadet Peter Wick, Bannet eventually graduated. Following which, Bannet and Peter were hand picked by a special training program within the Coalition Military.
They would later discover that this was a front for a Republican reeducation program cleverly hid within CS Military Bureaucracy. Learning the true history of North America and the United States from their Republican sponsor Lilian West, Peter and Bannet were put to work collecting data regarding the Coalition’s recent agreement with Northern Gun and the criminalization of the Wilk’s Laser Industries. Shortly after while involved in a secret kidnapping mission targeting Northern Gun’s Customer Service Director, Bannet and Peter crossed paths with a monstrous cybernetic demon whale and were defeated. They later woke up as prisoners with the labyrinth. Confused and frightened, the two have been trying to get out ever since. Note: Peter’s recent death and the destruction of the Bruiser has left Bannet traumatized and helpless. Even if he recovers from the trauma, his accidental murder of his best friend following a communications failure has forever changed him; making him incredibly jaded (as per the Birthright).
